It is a tradition at Nichols & Simpson that a new organ does not get its name plate until after Tonal Finishing when Joe and Wayne are satisfied that the instrument should carry their names. They are the ones that place the name plate on the console.

Album: Finishing the Facade and Trompette en Chamade
Today was a BIG day - Joe finished voicing the speaking pipes in the Facade and the Trompette en Chamade was installed. With these done the "public face" of the organ is finished. Both John Best and Bob Hale covered the proceedings with Bob climbing up into the attic to shot photos through one of the openings for the spotlights which resulted in some rather interesting and different types of views of the happenings.

On Friday afternoon Dr. John Campbell, FBC's organist, was able to sit down and play part of the organ for the first time. Only the Great and a couple of Pedal stops were in place and tuned at the time
